State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) aka State Eligibility Test (SET) is an examination carried out by SLET Commission Assam (N.E. Region). Eligibility Criteria of SLET Exam


Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear in SLET Exam. Candidates who qualify in the Test are eligible to apply for the publish of Assistant Professor within the jurisdiction of the Member-States of this SLET Commission .

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have secured atleast 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master Degree or equivalent examination from universities/establishments recognized by UGC in case of General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates. However, the scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Person with Disability (PWD) Category, the Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to non-creamy layer who have secured atleast 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master stage or equivalent examination are eligible to appear in the Test.

# Candidates who have seemed or will be showing at the ultimate qualifying Master stage (ultimate year) examination and result is nonetheless awaited or candidates whose qualifying examination have been not on time may also apply for this Test.

About SLET 2023


State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) is composed of two papers. All the two papers will have only function sort questions of the following paperwork:

(a) Multiple Choice
(b) Matching
(c) Assertion and Reasoning
(d) True and False

Paper – I shall be of general subject, meant to assess the instructing/ analysis flair of the candidate. It will basically be designed to test reasoning talent, comprehension, divergent pondering and general consciousness of the candidate.

Paper – II shall consist of 100 function sort questions based totally on the subject. Each query will lift 2 marks. There will be no negative marking. The compensatory time supplied to the visually impaired candidates and PWD candidates with writing incapacity in Paper-I is 20 mins. Accordingly, there is provision of 20 mins compensatory time in Paper – II .
